Cristiano Ronaldo who is arguably the best player of all time, has given remarks after his Portugal side was knocked out of the Quarter Finals of the World Cup .

In a statement, the 38 year old forward gives a sad story of how it was his dream to win the World Cup even though achieving so many trophies in his past.

This will be the final World Cup for Cristiano Ronaldo who in an interview with Piers Morgan on Piers Morgan uncensored, hinted at retiring if he won the trophy.

All eyes remain on the Portugal International who received massive support from his wife and children.

Harry Kane missed a crucial penalty that became the decider between the anticipated England vs France game.

Harry Kane then equalized for the three lions after Bukayo Saka won the England side a penalty.

In 2006 against Angola with the number #17 Shirt on, Cristiano Ronaldo made his debut to the FIFA World Cup in what would be an epic journey in his career.

He would then go on to be the all time top scorer for Portugal, and have the most appearances for his national team setting a standard as the greatest player for his country.

Looking back after the 1-0 loss to Morocco in Qatar, CR7 should not only be proud of what he has achieved for his country, but also be glad that he sits firmly at the apex of the greatest players ever to grace the game of football.

Morocco Beat Portugal to advance to Semifinals

Morocco showed a relentless game when they faced Portugal in a desperate match sealing a place in the Semis.

Despite playing counterattacking football for much of the game, they were happy to edge out Portugal 1-0 and advance to the semis after making history as the first African team to reach the World Cup semifinals.

Morocco will now face off with the winner of England v France in the Semis of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been critical in the past for being benched for Manchester United and it will be critical to see how he responds to his Manager’s decision.

The former Manchester United forward will be keen to prove his position when he gets subbed on as he hopes to get a second goal for the tournament.

Emi Martinez has criticized the referee for their match against the Netherlands for adding 10 minutes after the 90 playable minutes in their World Cup Semifinal match.

The Netherlands equalized through Weghorst in the 101st minute to push them to extra time and later penalties.

The Aston Villa & Argentinian goal keeper termed the referee as “useless” and continued to say he wished he didn’t officiate for them again in the World Cup.

Lionel Messi also topped headlines as he criticized the Netherlands coach; Louis Van Gaal, referees and Weghorst after the match.

Argentina have qualified for the Qatar 2022 World Cup Semifinals after thumping Netherlands on Penalties.

The first 90 minutes saw Messi put up a Masterclass on the pitch with a superb assist to Molina and a cool penalty to go up 2-0.

The Dutch would score twice with Weghorst scoring both to send them to the extra time of the quarter finals.

In Penalties, Emi Martinez was the Argentinian hero as he saved the first two kicks by Netherlands to mount pressure on them while Messi led the team to victory.
