Morocco Beat Portugal to advance to Semifinals

Morocco showed a relentless game when they faced Portugal in a desperate match sealing a place in the Semis.

Despite playing counterattacking football for much of the game, they were happy to edge out Portugal 1-0 and advance to the semis after making history as the first African team to reach the World Cup semifinals.

Morocco will now face off with the winner of England v France in the Semis of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Yet again, the 38 year old forward has been benched at the World Cup for Portugal’s quarter final game against Morocco.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been critical in the past for being benched for Manchester United and it will be critical to see how he responds to his Manager’s decision.

The former Manchester United forward will be keen to prove his position when he gets subbed on as he hopes to get a second goal for the tournament.

Morocco hope to be the first African country to reach the Semifinals

Morocco will be looking to make history as the first African country to reach the World Cup Semifinals when they clash with Portugal today.

Hakim Ziyech Will lead the line for the squad as they hope to clinch the victory and make history with the African continent on their back.

It will however not be an easy task with Portugal having a better record at the World Cup vs African teams.
