Arsenal thrashed 2-0 by Juventus at the Emirates

In a friendly played at Emirates Stadium in London, Juventus managed to beat the league leaders who gear up to await the Premier League resumption.

Arsenal dominated the 1st half against Juventus in possession but conceded right at the end of the half with an own goal flick from Granit Xhaka.

In the second half, the gunners looked to dominate the game as well dominating the attack and possession of the game but conceded a second goal again with the goal scored at the extra time minute by Iling-Junior.

The fixture is Arsenal’s last game before the Premier League resumes on Boxing Day.

Arsenal will now get ready for West Ham with the London derby set to dictate their potential Title challenge against 2nd place Manchester City.

The Gunners will also look to strengthen their squad with Gabriel Jesus out for some months following his knee injury with Brazil in the World Cup.

Real Madrid sign wonderkid Endrick for €60M

Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of superstar wonder kid Endrick from Palmeiras in Brazil.

The Club announced that they reached a deal worth €60M for the young star who is predicted to have a wonderful career at the club in Spain.

The sale from Palmeiras has been a record fee for the Brazilian leagues as stated by Palmeiras President.

Arsenal on Fire before Premier League resumption

The Gunners have been on a fantastic run as they await the resumption of the Premier League on Boxing Day.

The North London side has faced both Lyon and AC Milan in the Dubai Cup thrashing Lyon 3 – 0 with goals from Gabriel Maghaeles, Eddie Nketiah, and Fabio Vieira.

Arsenal then faced AC Milan on 13th December beating them 2 -1 to win the Dubai Cup in the UAE.

The club now gears up to face Juventus on Saturday, 17th December as they eagerly await to kickstart their Premier League second-half campaign where they lead the table at 1st place with 37 points ahead of Manchester City with 32 points.

Mikel Arteta has hinted at strengthening the squad at the front with the gunners suffering a blow after Gabriel Jesus sustained an injury at the World Cup forcing the Arsenal forward to undergo surgery.

Argentina vs France has been described as one of the biggest World Cup games in recent history as both teams look to make history and lift the most coveted trophy in human history in Qatar.

Lionel Messi’s Argentina will be looking to win their third World Cup in history and a first since Diego Maradona won their World Cup in 1986.

France will also be motivated to secure back-to-back trophies in the competition after taking the trophy back to Paris in 2018 in Russia.

Statistically, Argentina has faced off against France 12 times with Argentina winning 6 times, France winning 3 times, and the teams drawing 3 times.

The World Cup Final is on Sunday, 18th December 2022 at Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

Pelé won the World Cup with Brazil astonishingly doing it at 17 years and 249 days.

Lionel Messi could now set history and win his first World Cup making him one of the greats.

The most coveted trophy will be on the line when Argentina face off in the finals this Sunday.

Croatia Face off with Argentina in World Cup Semis

Croatia will be looking to successfully get to the World Cup Semis for a consecutive time with the team also achieving the second place in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

It will not be an easy fixture as Argentina seem to be determined to give their push to achieve the perhaps most coveted trophy in global football.

Some pundits have predicted a Croatian upset but they will look to continue with their unpredictable performance as they’ve mostly done throughout the competition.

Cristiano Ronaldo who is arguably the best player of all time, has given remarks after his Portugal side was knocked out of the Quarter Finals of the World Cup .

In a statement, the 38 year old forward gives a sad story of how it was his dream to win the World Cup even though achieving so many trophies in his past.

This will be the final World Cup for Cristiano Ronaldo who in an interview with Piers Morgan on Piers Morgan uncensored, hinted at retiring if he won the trophy.

All eyes remain on the Portugal International who received massive support from his wife and children.

What next for England manager Gareth Southgate?

There has been a lot of talk about the England manager and if he is the ‘chosen one’ to take England National team to the next level and where they’ve wanted to be – winning trophies.

However full it might look, Gareth Southgate has had to form a team that looks and is potentially one of the best squads in the world. England national team has been ranked 5th by FIFA,

All hope is not lost for the team despite losing to France (the defending world champions) as most of their key players are young and will only get better as they gain more experience and evolve as players.

In context; Bukayo Saka is 21, Phil Foden is 22, and Jude Bellingham is 19, only to name a few.

It is interesting to note that many more England players were also left out of the squad and will be looking to capitalize on the next possible opportunity to help their senior team.

Whether Gareth Southgate choses to resign or to continue as head coach of the England National team, he has done a fantastic job of bringing the squad together and proving the three lions have yet to fulfill their potential at the global stage.

France knock England out of the World Cup with Harry Kane missing the penalty.

Harry Kane missed a crucial penalty that became the decider between the anticipated England vs France game.

The first half was led by France 1-0 with Antoine Griezmann scoring the opener for the French footballers.

Harry Kane then equalized for the three lions after Bukayo Saka won the England side a penalty.

Olivier Giroud turned Superhero after scoring a brilliant goal that led the glorified side to victory.

In 2006 against Angola with the number #17 Shirt on, Cristiano Ronaldo made his debut to the FIFA World Cup in what would be an epic journey in his career.

He would then go on to be the all time top scorer for Portugal, and have the most appearances for his national team setting a standard as the greatest player for his country.

Looking back after the 1-0 loss to Morocco in Qatar, CR7 should not only be proud of what he has achieved for his country, but also be glad that he sits firmly at the apex of the greatest players ever to grace the game of football.
