Arsenal thrashed 2-0 by Juventus at the Emirates

In a friendly played at Emirates Stadium in London, Juventus managed to beat the league leaders who gear up to await the Premier League resumption.

Arsenal dominated the 1st half against Juventus in possession but conceded right at the end of the half with an own goal flick from Granit Xhaka.

In the second half, the gunners looked to dominate the game as well dominating the attack and possession of the game but conceded a second goal again with the goal scored at the extra time minute by Iling-Junior.

The fixture is Arsenal’s last game before the Premier League resumes on Boxing Day.

Arsenal will now get ready for West Ham with the London derby set to dictate their potential Title challenge against 2nd place Manchester City.

The Gunners will also look to strengthen their squad with Gabriel Jesus out for some months following his knee injury with Brazil in the World Cup.

Arsenal look to strengthen squad to continue Title Race

The Arsenal management Mikel Arteta together with Sporting Director Edu will be looking to strengthen their squad as they look to keep the momentum going after a best ever Premier League season start.

With their top striker Gabriel Jesus ruled out for at least 3 months due to a knee injury, the club options remain with Eddie Nketiah who scored has been lacking enough Premier League minutes and Folarin Balogun who is currently on Loan but with a call back clause on his contract.

Mikel Arteta said on Thursday after the 3-0 win that his main priority will be to work with the players he has but also added that the club will take the necessary steps to strengthen.

There have been several links with Arsenal including Mykhailo Mudryk who currently plays in Ukraine.

It will be interesting to see the club ambitions especially coming back to the Premier League with a 5 point lead at the top of the table with 37 points ahead of Manchester City with 32 points.
